Arne Somogyi’s Mingus Big Band

The first of three big band shows in the magnificent upstairs room at the Bartons Arms. * Formed originally by Arnie Somogyi to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the recording of Charlie Mingus’ The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady. Dan Searjeant leads a band who reinterpret key tunes of the fantastic Mingus repertoire including Better Get Hit in Your Soul. A not to be missed chance to hear the timeless and memorable tunes from one of the towering legends of jazz history.
