Charlotte Glasson featuring Chris Spedding

If you like your music to be fun, tuneful and with great tunes then Charlotte and her band are for you. On this third visit to Birmingham Jazz Charlotte brings her multi-instrument show touring a new set of work. 2018 sees the release of Charlotte’s new album ‘Robots’ which is inspired by a trip to South Africa in 2017. Last time around she played a saw so anything is possible!

Charlotte has written ten new tunes including ‘Robots’ (The name South Africans give to Traffic Lights!), Bobo and the little Karoo, Cape Dreams. Fusing together South African flavours, and Latin music (Chris Kibble is a genius pianist who has worked extensively in the Latin Jazz scene in the UK - Snowboy, Pucho and The Latin Soul Brothers, King Salsa) and together they create an uplifting sound. Charlotte will also be playing tunes from her extensive back catalogue, demonstrating the full range of instruments and tools at her disposal.
