Clark Tracey Quintet

Now one year old, the latest incarnation of the Clark Tracey Quintet includes some of the most precocious young talent in the UK.  Some locals will recognise the name Elliott Sansom on piano, while bassist James Owston is still a student at BCU.  The horn players, Alex Ridout and Sean Payne, while studying at RAM in London, are making huge waves on the jazz scene.  Clark's group released their debut CD last year to much critical acclaim

This new Quintet is following the Tracey tradition of providing a platform for musicians of exceptional ability.  Clark himself has just celebrated 40 years in jazz and is justly recognised as 'the UK's equivalent to Art Blakey'. You can expect the best in straight ahead drumming with enthusiastic rhythm and front playing.
