Nikki Iles Trio with Stan Sulzman

Despite a long-standing musical friendship and frequent collaborations, it has been almost 20 years since Stan and Nikki recorded their first album “Treasure Trove” together. Their offering, “Stardust”, celebrated a shared love of songs, as well as featuring an original composition from each was released in 2015.  They are joined here by the world renowned Bass Player Gave Green.

Saxophonist Stan Sulzmann and pianist Nikki Iles are iconic figures on the UK jazz scene composing and playing in their own distinctive contemporary styles. Despite a long-standing musical friendship and frequent collaborations, it has been almost 20 years since Stan and Nikki recorded their first album Treasure Trove. It is a shared love of the Standard Jazz Repertoire that brought them together for their last album Stardust. They have taken to the studio again and is a collaboration with US Based Dave Holland entitled ‘Lush Life’, released in late 2018.
