Jon Lloyd

This UK based group presents vibrant European Contemporary Jazz, played by a quartet of superb musicians. The leader and composer is tenor and soprano saxophonist Jon Lloyd. Jon has been part of the UK jazz and free music scene for several decades (Jon Lloyd Quartet with Paul Rogers, Mark Sanders, John Law; groups featuring Phil Wachsmann, Marcio Mattos, Stan Adler, Paul Clarvis, Tom Farmer, Asaf Sirkis),  and has now turned his attention to European contemporary jazz; using classical and non-western music influences as well as jazz sources to write vibrant, melodic and emotionally direct new jazz compositions. They are on tour performing music from his Ubuntu Music release “Earth Songs” in venues across the UK and Europe.
