Tony Dudley-Evans nominated for Services To Jazz Award at the UK Parliamentary Jazz Awards!

We are delighted to announce that the Artistic Director of Birmingham Jazz , Tony Dudley-Evans has been nominated for the Services to Jazz Award at the UK Parlimentary Jazz Awards.

The prestigious Parliamentary Jazz Awards is organised by the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Group (APPJAG), and supported by PPL in conjunction with Jazz Services, Jazz UK, Jazzwise, and the Jazz Section of the Musicians Union.

The awards feature nine categories, Jazz Musician of the Year, Jazz CD of the Year, Jazz Ensemble of the Year, Jazz Venue of the Year, Jazz Journalist of the Year, Jazz Broadcaster of the Year, Jazz Publication of the Year, Jazz Education Award, and the Services to Jazz Award. The nominations have been chosen from entries received from the public and then short listed by a judging panel made up of experts in the sector. These nominations then  go to the final stage Voting Accademy which decides on winners from nominations in each category. The Voting Academy is made up of the membership of the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Appreciation Group (APPJAG) chaired by Michael Connarty MP.
